Learning plan

A ready-made weekly structure for practice - built from a template at sign-up, and fully editable from there.

Three starting templates

Every child gets a 7-day plan built from one of three templates. Which one you start on is decided by the paper or screen? question in the sign-up wizard - paper-preferring families start on Paper-First Week, everyone else starts on Simple Week.

๐Ÿ“‹ Simple Week

The default. The same practice - Type it, 6 core words plus 2 due for revision - on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, then a paper test on Friday covering everything.

๐ŸŽจ Classic Week

A different activity each day: Look & remember and Pick it on Monday to meet the words, Type it Tuesday for full recall, a flash-first Dictation on Wednesday, a Crossword built from the words' meanings on Thursday, then the paper test Friday.

๐Ÿ“ Paper-First Week

For families who prefer real paper. Written practice photographed in on Monday and Thursday, a screen-based Crossword on Tuesday to break it up, then the same Friday paper test.

All three share a Saturday buffer day (catches up anything missed that week, plus optional word games) and a Sunday reminder to photograph next week's list.

Editing the week

From Learning plan on a child's home card, tap ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Edit this week's plan.

Days & activities

Add or remove activities per day, drag to reorder, or move an activity to a different day.

Per-activity settings

Tap the โš™ on any activity to change word counts (core/revision), the typing aid (full keyboard, letter tiles, or a first-letter prefill), writing guides, whether hints are on or it runs as test conditions (no hints), which extras show with each word (picture/meaning - for children aged 5โ€“7, Look & remember starts with the picture on, shown whenever a word has one), and a free-text note for yourself.

Answer with

Swap an activity's medium in place - โŒจ๏ธ Type it, โœ๏ธ Write it, or ๐Ÿ“ธ On paper - without changing which words it covers.

Switching templates

Any day edits are lost

Switching template rebuilds the week from scratch. Switching back to the previous template will not restore what you'd changed. The app warns you with exactly this before it happens - browsing the template chips costs nothing, the warning only appears once you've actually edited a day.

Want to practise a different word list instead, without losing your edits? That's separate and safe - see below.

Changing the word list - the safe alternative

The Learning plan page shows which list the plan is anchored to, with a Change list option. Unlike switching templates, this keeps every day's activities, settings and edits exactly as they are - only which words get fetched into each slot changes.
